Submission for the Screensaver Project

Submission for the Screensaver Project

Mary Emma of Quilting and Patchwork submitted an example of her work for the Screensaver I am putting together.

Click the image for a larger version. Thanks Mary Emma.
I’ve decided to extend the deadline on this project for a little while due to decreased traffic over the holidays and busy schedules.
So if you want to get your art in the screensaver, you can still get your art in.

Serving What?

Serving What?

I couldn’t resist taking this picture. The church I serve at as associate pastor doesn’t have a baptismal, so usually once a year we have our baptism service at a sister church down the road. That service was today. Walking into the kitchen at this church, this one sign caught my eye.

if you can’t see it, here’s a larger view.

I was afraid to open that cupboard door! Happy New Year! May all your bowels be served!

If you’ve ever crashed your computer, called tech support and they lost your laptop in the mail somewhere in Texas… clap your hands. *clap, clap*

If you’ve ever crashed your computer, called tech support and they lost your laptop in the mail somewhere in Texas… clap your hands. *clap, clap*

Here is one of those overdue projects that I have intended to start for awhile and never got around to. I do some work on people’s computers sometimes. I get a lot of old extra pieces that really aren’t good for much. I’ve kept them for this purpose. That one day I could make an assemblage project based off all the countless hours I’ve either worked on someone else’s computer or spent on hold waiting on tech support to transfer me to someone else who only tells me to call another number where… (you get the idea).
So here is the …read more

Family Cartoons: Lets see your cartoon family members

Family Cartoons: Lets see your cartoon family members

take about 30 seconds and render a family member as a simple cartoon on a 4×6 inch index card. (I flipped over an old card on this, I think that blue stuff on the eye is from the other side of the card). Don’t forget to submit it here to be included with the link to the right to tell you how.

The Artistry of God

The Artistry of God

I’ve began a new project. A book. I’ve never really just sat down intending to write this book. But as I’ve been writing Artist Hideout over the last few months it kind of just started coming out. I thought I’d mention it though as I feel it gives an overall perspective of how I view my art and art in general. I have invited a few great writers to take part in this as well. Then when it is finished, I will seek out a publisher for it. Who knows? It may …read more

Destiny Wallpaper Image

Destiny Wallpaper Image

I created this wallpaper over the Holiday break. I really like it and actually have it as my wallpaper currently. This one is called “Destiny”.

Actual Image size is 1680×1050, click image or here to download it.
This also serves as an example for those of you who want to take part in the screensaver project for how to include your name and web address in one of your images. You can include one of your project images in the screensaver I am putting together.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

One of my favorite Christmas gifts this year was a scarf that my mom made me. Now, I’m not much into scarfs but the fact that she took a significant amount of time and made this for me using my two favorite colors was pretty cool. For more projects that you can make using Yarn, I’d suggest hitting up Noreen over at Hankering for Yarn for many, many great ideas.
Here’s an image of it.

What “made” gift did you receive or make this year?

Some of my favorite web cam moments….

Some of my favorite web cam moments….

I didn’t think that this would have been so popular as it has. Elijah and Keena are celebrities now…lol. I guess a cat playing with that hat is more popular than Darren, Mark and Jeremy all wearing them.
The web cam is still up until we get back on Tuesday though so you can click here to go to it directly.
Here’s a few of my personal favorite shots from yesterday. Some of there were while I was still trying to get things set up correctly before we left the house.
Sheila posted some of the moments she caught …read more
