Forgotten Passion
As a new blogger with b5media, you might be asking who is this new guy who is writing about art?
To give you a little background, I was one of those guys in High school who took all the art classes he possibly could. After High school, I went to college for something else entirely (Biblical Theology, emphasis in Youth Ministry), and basically forgot about art over the next four years. I became a pastor here in my hometown, and every week put together the visuals, bulletins, etc. for the church. Over the last year, I have increasingly become interested in art again. I have become passionate about reclaiming my rusty skills and picking up a new jar of india ink and illustration board.
I have also learned that life is a journey. I know it sounds like the pastor side of me is coming out, but life does take us in many directions down through the years. b5media is giving me the chance to explore this passion again in a new way. I want to become a better artist and I want you to do the same. I know a lot of techniques from the years gone by but am anxious to learn more. So I begin this new journey with a forgotten passion. Art.
