Intoxicated by joy is probably the best phrase that I can use when reading Sarah’s blog, writings and looking at her artwork. The passion, joy, and the surprise are evident in her work. I’d almost use the term “play” instead.

My artistic style I used to pen as “stream of consciousness flow” ..now, however I’d call it “spontaneous voice.”

I cringe far less than I used to. I still trip everywhere I go. I’ve given up trying to walk straight :) let alone bump up against people. Cause these days there’s far less bruising and more enjoyable cruising. ~from Sarah’s email to me

I identify with her art not because I come across as an extrovert but because of the introvert inside of me desiring to get out. Anyway that is the thought that comes to me as I look at Sarah’s work. There is an extensive gallery on her website I have also found and am still going through. Each image in her main gallery serves as a door for another gallery of her work. There’s more there than you see initially.

If you find the images of Oct 06, she experimented a lot with bringing new textures into the mix. I have to wonder if this was a significant time in life for Sarah too? (I’ll file that thought away with psychological subconscious influences in art)

Overall, I like Sarah’s work. It makes tremendous use of space and color where she stays fairly consistent with size and shape. It’s a nice change from a lot of the other digital work I see.

Thanks Sarah for the email. For everyone else out there, I’d love to look at your artwork too. Check out our submission page here.
