Playing with Fire and Fractals

This evening I was reading through some of the feeds in my feedreader and came across Cyndi’s post about fractals. Prompted by the need to try out a new art program, I downloaded Apophysis and set out to try my hand at creating something, anything, whatever…

In about 15 minutes I had a fractal art image… not the greatest, but I liked it. I still don’t know much about the program as I just hit random buttons which is how I work most of the time.

Here is my fractal that I came up with. I did a little post processing to smooth out the image too in Paint Shop.

Ah, I remember doing fractals like that (except yours looks loads better than my first attempts, with the post-work!) If the bug takes you, you could be in for a long obsession – mine’s lasted over two and a half years :D
