A Horse is a Horse of Course (Unless a Horse Can Paint)

Cholla5Most people remember watching “Mr. Ed” at some time in their life. This horse isn’t Mr. Ed but he can paint. Well, maybe it’s true that anyone can paint if they put their mind to it.

Cholla, a quarter horse seems to enjoy painting. While most of us discover art in school at some point, Cholla discovered his art while one of his owners was painting a fence.

I don’t really understand it completely, myself, but he just loves doing it. His art is fine art, sometimes I think he is channeling energy while creating his masterpieces. Cholla started painting in May of 2004. The idea came from my husband, Robert, while I was painting the corral fence, he yelled out, ” Why dont you get that horse to paint that fence “. Well lo and behold, my horse is an artist.

Cholla paints with high quality water colors on cold pressed, high end paper, and Gicleés are printed with a 6 color printing process using archival inks on archival water color paper.

Included with each piece of art purchased, is a 9-minute DVD of Cholla creating his art at his easel and an embossed Certificate of Authenticity.

I love this! Cholla is the best. A horse that chooses cold press high end paper is ok in my book! :)

LOL, I just hope the money from Cholla’s art goes into some kind of trust for aging horses!

I’d love to see this in person though.
