Finding Yourself Finding your Artwork

I don’t know if you’ve ever had this particular experience. Someone approaches you and says “sure, we’ll display your art” then they hang it on a wall that is so cluttered that you can’t even find your own work yourself. I know I’ve had the privilege of having this experience and it irked me.
If you’ve ever experienced this, leave a comment and tell us all about it.
Also, while you are at it, submit your art and I’ll give it a post all it’s own.

I once had my work in a gallery where the walls were covered from floor to ceiling with paintings and the rest of the gallery was filled to the gills with baubles& bangles, $3000 beaded handbags, handblown glassware, brocade and hand woven pillows, stainedglass lamps , glittering jewelry and everything but a gilded kitchen sink! not only could I not find my paintings I could barely find my way to the door LOL
LOL, wow. You know it’s bad news when you can’t even stand to be in the gallery it’s displayed in.
Thanks for Sharing Jan. I love your “Westbrook Dunes” painting too by the way. For some reason, that one stood out to me on your gallery page.
Oh boy, I know that one! How about hanging a piece of art up in the rafters of a poorly-lit gallery? The fibre piece was done in shades of grey, silver & purple… you couldn’t tell it was up there!
