Body Art - Prepost ideas
Here in the next day or two I’m going to hit some of the many tattoo shops in the area. This is a very different type of art that is often overlooked by those in the art field. Part medicine, part art, part subculture… I’m sure that this is going to be interesting.
So what I am curious about is what you want to know about tattoos, their art and design elements?

Hmmm…a lot of the kids in our church youth group (a lot of kids everywhere, really) are into tatoos. Me, I’m into piercing, but not tatoos.
I grew up very negative about tatoos because of being Jewish. I wonder about that sometimes, if young Jewish kids are no longer concerned about the prohibitions on tatoos. When the kids at church ask me about it, I tell them that as Gentiles, they’re welcome to do as they want as long as they feel they are honoring G-d with their bodies. But me, I don’t feel free to indulge.
I wonder what your tatoo shop peoples’ observations about that would be?
