How to continue Art when life happens… (asking for opinion on cars too)

by William Lehman on January 29th, 2007

It’s been a rough last two days. Car problems mostly. A few other things too.

I’ve been a little tied down in terms of actually getting to some paints lately or sitting down in front of a blank piece of paper to even draw a little.

I’ve come to realize that for me when life happens and I am having trouble just making the time to draw or paint that I can still really enjoy other art. Use it to form new ideas and plan future projects.

This comes from the essential statement that “all art isn’t something you always have to do, but it is in the experience of beauty that you live”

I’m not even sure that make sense right now.

Okay different subject completely… (just life stuff)

Lately, my head is filled with images of vehicles I’ve been looking at this morning to possibly try to buy.

I think it will be one of these three.

Dodge Dakota Sport

Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

or

KIA Sportage

I took these with the camera on my cell phone today.

So have you had one of these types of vehicles pictured above? If so, I want to hear your stories, good and bad. Please argue for or against something.

Personally, right now it looks like the KIA will win.

[…] I’ve not been the most active blogger in the world on this particular blog. I’ve posted here and there. Not really that much at all. Mostly, I’ve been blogging on my b5 blog, Artist Hideout. There are times though that a certain subject or topic doesn’t fit into the scope of that blog and I post it here. Today has been one of those days where art hasn’t really made my day. I’ve been out in the cold freezing to death looking at cars, frustrated with the loan people. […]
