It’s funny what you find.
I was going through some old pictures tonight on a whim to find something from my past to work into a drawing and I ran across this. It’s an acrylic painting I did back during my senior year of High School and went to Ohio Capital Conference with.
This was also the first painting I ever sold:
$75
I know I did a horrible job stretching the canvas, but it still turned out pretty good for 17 years old. Hmmmm, 9 years ago.
A lot has changed in those last 9 years. I am about 85 pounds heavier for one thing. Then, I worked one job and went to school. Now I have finished a B.A. have a beautiful wife, and work three jobs.
Anyway, I thought I’d share my little reminiscent meanderings along with some art long since swept away by time.
Oh yeah, I hated those glasses.
