Artist Hideout

It’s not delusions of grandeur.

Often we are led to think that art is something that can be defined on paper, canvas, sculpture or digital images. Pens, paint brushes, pencils and paint are only tools that lead us to the final realization of a vision we grasped maybe even long ago. Subsequently artists are generally defined by those things as well, not by themselves but by those who admire and critique their work. We are more than that though. We, artists rule the world!

It’s not delusions of grandeur. We are conceptual engineers, design fabricators, (and for the sake of throwing in a stereotype) we are the mad scientists of the world who challenge the very core beliefs of the world by breaking the paradigms that this age finds itself in. We exist in every field and every occupation. From the aesthetic quality of your kitchen table to the sequence of images presented to you in the most annoying TV commercial, there is an artist who created it.

At the core of my personal faith is this one thought and passage. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…” 2 chapters over from that in the Bible we see that God created people in His own image. It is at the core of who we are created to be. Artists.
