Artist Hideout

Man in a Craft Shop

by William Lehman on October 18th, 2006

I’ve been going around to local craft and art shops lately, seeing what is there and getting the standard look from craft shop people. You know that look that says “Ummm… Best Buy is two streets over!” or the one that says “Quick, hide the cash, that guy looks suspicious!”. I’m the guy with the ponytail, goatee and leather coat walking in the craft shop looking at all the country art and craft stuff. I don’t mind it though, I think it’s kinda fun. Especially when I start asking about the painted saw blades or when they see me from the back and ask “Can I help you ma’am?”. When I turn around, they usually start apologizing like crazy.

Maybe I won’t get the same looks when I walk into the tattoo shops later this week. We’ll see.
