Not that much into celebrity worship
Pittwatch has an interesting post on a painting done of celebrity Angelina Jolie and kids. The painting is loosely based of the painting by Sir Anthony van Dyck, entitled “The Virgin as Intercessor”
Apparently the painting of Angelina is being displayed at the Art Miami fair. It displays her above inside a Walmart clutching her child while her other two children hold onto her. I think it’s a little bit gross when it comes to celebrity worship, but it’s well done and tells a story.

I think people need to read the artists complete thoughts on what inspired her to utilize Angelina Jolie. She (the artist) herself isn’t worshiping AJ, yet some are assuming that’s exactly what she’s doing because they’ve chosen not to take the time to grasp what she says inspired her. Instead many have simply opted to go with the flow, and rely on what someone else says the painting is conveying. It’s a sad commentary on the 21st century as it shows how lazy we’ve become, and how we’ve handed our personal thought process over to groupthink out of a need to get to the next item on the list.

yes, I must admit that I didn’t read the whole story on this one. Comes from posting while sick… I hope you’ll forgive me this time.
