Pen, Pencil & Medias in Contention
I dug this out of one of my old sketchbooks. This is a drawing I did of a dog I had when I was in High School. I think what fascinated me about this particular image was that I used both pen and pencil for the particular effects I wanted to capture in the portrait.
Many times, I see artist stick with one medium when if they were honest with themselves they would incorporate two or more mediums to capture the feel and the effect that they really want to convey.
Artist’s Challenge of the Day: In your next piece, try doing the first portion of your art as normal then choose a different media and capture the emotions you want to share with it.
