Things I’ve been working on lately.
I’ve been kinda busy lately. I think it is just the nature of the beast. You get ideas and you try to implement them all at once. So I thought I would give a quick run-down of some of the projects I’ve been working on and just a little idea of my day to day work.
Shown above is my work-at-home area. It’s pretty much one corner of the living room. My laptop which this last week I made into a dual boot system with Ubuntu and Windows which has been nice as instead of moving to the Vista OS, I am going to move to Linux as my primary OS.

Over the last few weeks with the church, we have been working on getting a new awning on the building. The old one was for the insurance company that was in that space before. We are a storefront church in downtown Newark, OH right on the square called Discovery Church. So yesterday, they tore off the old awning and should be putting on the new one sometime here in the next few weeks.
My wife and I make candles as well. It’s kind of a hobby thing that we do just for fun. We give them to people mainly, but occasionally we sell a few.
I am currently working on the powerpoint for this weeks service as well as fixing the presentation computer which was going through some hard times the last few weeks with the presentation. Basic rebuild of the computer. More ram, preload some new fonts, reinstall windows as it always seems to need to be done once a year. As for the presentation, each presentation is usually around 60-80 slides. I do this every week along with the bulletins.
You might notice Jeremy’s book “Blog Marketing” in the image. I’ve been reading through that lately along with the Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis. I think old Clive would have really embraced the idea of blogging if he were alive today. Screwtape Letters began as a column for a paper and evolved into a book afterwards. It was dedicated to JRR Tolkien, a good friend.
Anyway, I must get back to fixing this computer….otherwise I’m going to have to use my laptop again this week.
