Trading Art: Art in your pocket

While I anxiously was looking for a paycheck from someone today, I intentionally stayed close to home to wait for the mail lady to arrive. The paycheck didn’t come, but… my artcards did.

They came in an average tannish orange, bubble-wrapped lined envelope from ArtWanted.com. Pretty much they were everything I was expecting. Nice glossy finish. Nice feel in your hand. Not the heaviest stock card in the world but sturdy and resistant to bending. They also came in a nice little plastic case perfect for carrying them with you.

The colors were dead on with the file I had uploaded which is nice to see. I had chosen my painting “storm daisies” because of it’s bright colors.

Here is the email of the proof that I had received as well. I guess there was only a turn around of 10 days since I had been emailed my proof.

I am contemplating selling a few of these via the artcardswanted.com site to see how they do. If anything, they make a nice way to promote your artwork and give value to your work in a tangible way. I look forward to giving away a few too.
