When Flies mate with Dust Bunnies.

by William Lehman on September 19th, 2007

Okay, I’ve gotten a little hung up on getting my wacom tablet, but Amazon came to the conclusion that it was lost in the mail somewhere, so they are replacing it.

Meanwhile, I’ve been refining my comic plan over the last week, and here is the first installment albeit completely drawn with a mouse instead of a tablet like I hoped.

Anyway, the comic will be a regular feature here eventually.

Sorry to hear about the Wacom tablet. Hope you have fun with it when it arrives.

The good news is that I may get two (someday.. if the other one ever finds it’s way). I guess I may have to run a contest with it if that happens. ;)

You didn’t happen to order the Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet? If you did, I’ll be banging on your (virtual) door. Heh.

They have one named that?!!!! I may have to return the one I ordered (the Intuos3, 6″x8″) and get that one.

    Oh yeah, that’s spiffy…lol.

have you used a tablet before Shai? I haven’t but the reviews on the intuos3 were pretty awesome on Amazon

Yeah - not sure how good it is, I just read a review and it sounded good.

I know that Intuos is definitely great.

I have a Wacom Graphire. It’s fun, but not it feels awkward to use. So, I have never gotten the hang of it. Still trying…

The difference between them is basically the pressure sensitivity (and I think a higher resolution) and better drivers.

The graphire has 512 levels of pressure sensitivity and the intuos doubles that to 1024 levels (and tilt sensitivity)

I had bought a tablet a long time ago and it ….really sucked. I think thats why I went a splurged a little this time to go for what wacom calls the “professional grade

    Maybe it will arrive today.

I have never been so happy to go check mail and come away so disappointed :( over the last week and a half. I hope it’s finally here now. ;)

Hmm that makes me want to bust out my tablet again. Unfortunately it is in a box somewhere buried in storage at the moment.. along with many other things I wish I had access to.
