Working Title: Love is in the Air
Okay, maybe all this talk about love is getting to me. Maybe it’s just because my wife and I are celebrating our two year anniversary this coming week… whatever it is I’ve started a new painting.
Now since I’ve started Artist Hideout, I’ve done lots of abstract expressionism stuff. I’ve toyed with little 30 second drawings, and some pencil drawings.
I guess I was thinking back over the site posts and realized that I probably should at least show that I can do more than just fling paint at a canvas and call it art. I guess you can only get away with that for so long and claim abstract expressionism, right?
Well, here is the painting that I started this evening. I think I am going to entitle it “love is in the air” though I have not decided yet. I always officially name a piece only after I finish it.
This is about 20 minutes work. I am usually done with my other much larger abstract paintings by this time :) I am re-learning patience with painting.
